Welding Makes Items not Cut

when i weld something inside another thing it doesnt cut at all please help!

Unfortunatly, everything with weld selected that is inside something else welded will be welded together (solid, no cut lines). The only way to do what you want is to use a shape, a hollow rectangle. Here is a rectangle frame svg for you to use. HTH
