I was using various shapes welded together.
The height of the template in Inkscape and the size of the font in inches in SCAL have to be the same.
My finished template of a tree I made 4 inches high and set the font size in SCAL to 4 inches - it then imported it perfectly.
As SCAL was primarily designed for fonts and dingbats (which obey the same rules as fonts as far as sizing is concerned) I suppose it does follow that pts ( or height as it has been translated ) should be the logical means od measurement.

Big pat on the back to you!!
This is what it was like when we first stared using Inkscape with Robo - every success and new find was exciting ( and a lot of men learned how to cook!!)

Susibi,
Where exactly is this? I cannot find anything at the top toolbar that mentions units.

Never mind... I found it. Gee, I feel like a dingbat. It was right in front of my face.
