I can successfully outline a bmp and save it as a svg file. It looks great in inkscape, but when I import it into sca, parts of it that are closest to the edge look a little cut off. Any suggestions? I thought maybe if there was a way to make the "canvas" a tiny bit larger before saving the svg maybe that would help but I don't know if that is possible in the inkscape program.
Thanks for any help.

I don't know about Inkscape, but in SCAL, can you resposition the graphic so that it is inside the dotted lines of the mat? You can use the arrows on the mat to proportionally resize the graphic. You can also click on the magnifying glass in SCAL to see how the design will actually print. The red lines are the actual cut lines; gray lines will not print. Don't know whether that helps at all.

Re: Help - SVG is cut off in SCA
Thanks for your reply. Yes, my image is within the cutting margins of the mat. It is not a large graphic and doesn't go off the mat. Yes, looking at it in preview mode displays part of the outline missing. My SCA version is 1.006 which I know states this bug has been fixed.
Any other advice? Is this happening to anyone else?
I actually need to post this in the "bugs" section. I thought that this would be a good place to post too since Inkscape users work with svg files regularly.
Thanks!

Re: Help - SVG is cut off in SCA
It looks like it is cut off but it isn't. It is just laying on the bounding box. It should cut fine. I find that parts of an image that lays on the bounding box in SCAL doesn't show but they do cut.
Hopefully that is what you are talking about. Did you try the cut at all?

It sometimes happens in SCAL that the imported file looks as though there are bits missing but it still cuts OK. I did point this out in one of the tuts I did as I found it quite alarming at first!!
