Scal 4 + ecraft = letters/shapes not closing?

Post by whitrzac »

I'm trying scal4 on my ecraft machine for cutting vinyl. Cut time is 1/2 that of MTC, but letters/shapes are not closing. It's also missing a lot of detail, it looks like someone drew it with a crayon.

It's not the machine leaving tabs. MTC doesn't have this issue.(mtc had issues with turning small ovals into trapizoids...)
scal is on it's default settings.

What am I missing?

Picture attached, it's not the best...

Here's a better picture.

Look at the S and B in subaru

The center of the A in madison is not closed.

All of the corners are rounded when they should be straight.

There is no offset adjustment in scal. MTC default is 0.30.

I'm having the same issue with the Cricut Expression. I am searching and searching for an answer. It's not easy to find! I'm super sad about this. Something that should take me 20 mins has taken me several hours, and I still don't have an answer.

Have either one of you sent a support request to CraftEdge. They do not drop in here very often. You can find a support request form here. http://craftedge.com/support/support_form.php
