Using a MAC OS 10.7.5, SCAL3
A graphic was created in photoshop, saved as a jpg
Opened SCAL3, dragged the jpg in and it is NOT the same color as created in photoshop, it is much brighter.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.
Color change after dragging photo
Re: Color change after dragging photo
I work with scalp in windows but I think they should have the same settings.
You could possibly have your alpha fill % setting at something lower than 100. Edit > Preferences > General > Workspace Alpha Fill. Try setting that at 100 and see if there's any change in the color.

Re: Color change after dragging photo
I've been with SCAL since SCAL1 and did not even think about changing the transparency! Most likely it has been there for a while but "old" dogs don't learn new tricks until someone points them in the right directions.CgC wrote:I work with scalp in windows but I think they should have the same settings.

Thanks, makes print a lot better!

Changing to 100 did not work for me. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Re: Color change after dragging photo
Could it be possible that you have a color profile embedded in the image?

There is not a color profile embedded in the image. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Color change after dragging photo
Adobe's default is Adobe RGB so unless you have changed it (sometimes it changes back with updates too... grrr...) or saved for web, your file does have a color profile. Also the Proof setup in Photoshop might affect the appearance of the file. I don't work with color images in SCAL, so I don't have any suggestions other than to change your default color workspace in PS to sRGB.
