Someone PLEASE help me understand svg files...
Re: Someone PLEASE help me understand svg files...
.svg is a file format, like jpeg, png etc It is a format made by some vector graphics programs and can be read by SCAL.
If you just want to create welded titles with mats( or shadows), weld shapes from the SCAL shapes library or cut dingbat images, you can do that in SCAL if you want to design your own templates from scratch you can do that in Inkscape ( or another graphics program that can save as .svg) then import to SCAL and cut.
It depends what you want to do with your machine.
