x11????

Hi everyone. I have downloaded INkscape (which took forever on my
computer) and when I open it, I get a pop up window asking me "where
is x11?" I have googled this, and either I am not understanding it or
something, b/c I don't know what that is. I am running a Mac
PowerBook, g4, v. 10.4.11
I downloaded the x11 update 2006 okg., which it alerted me that my
computer doesn't need that---so I apparently have x11, but Inkscape
isn't recognizing it?
Anyone have this problem??? I don't know what to do........I am very
frustrated. Usually I can "google" tech probs, and find out how to fix
it. I haven't been able to this time....HELP!
