I'm new with the cricut expression. Can you cut contact paper with it?
If you can cut it, do you use the same setting as you would with vinyl.
Thanks

Yes -- that's what I use for my glass etching...much cheaper!
Re: Cutting contact paper
That's very interesting, etching glass with contact paper. I'd like to learn more about that. I would suggest that you clean your blade after cutting contact paper to get any residual glue off of the blade.
Re: Cutting contact paper
I always cut contact paper and have never had a problem with residual glue on my blade. I use the repositionalble contact paper that has a paper backing that you peel off before sticking. Happy cutting!

Re: Cutting contact paper
Very nice. What things do you cut with contact paper and what do you do with them?
I'm glad you have never had any trouble with any stickiness from contact paper! I just thought it might be a good idea to clean the blade from time to time. Actually, it'd probably be a good idea for all cutting as I know I have lots of glue build up over time on my mats. Certainly can't hurt anything.

Re: Cutting contact paper
You can use contact paper or vinyl for those glass blocks that were posted to the forum.
Re: Cutting contact paper
Ohhhh... so those white snowflakes and the icicles were cut out of contact paper? Then the contact paper adhered to the glass block? I asked questions about that and hadn't heard. That is so cool!
