ISO SEWING MEASURING TAPE

Post by upallnite »

Had a great idea for a border around my craft room. I thought of the measuring tape you use to measure out material.... I cannot find one...anyone have an idea where I could locate a SVG file of a measuring tape that is straight or a little curvy. Not one that looks rolled up... I want to cut it so it goes around my room.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

Here's a base for the measuring tape for a wall border. Cut a bunch of pieces at a time and butt them together as you go along. I made this one about 10" x 2.5 You will need to add the unit lines and numbers when you know how many and what size you want them. You can add the numbers as you make the individual pieces before you cut and have them "cut" out of the tape or you can cut numbers later and add onto the top. Same with the inch markers. They could be done with a pen.

Hope this gets you started. If you need more help just holler, lots of folks around.
