Kayla, it depends on the version of the firmware on your Cricut. I have Cricut vs 2.32 on my Expression running SCAL 2.043 and it works fine. I don't remember where the Cricut firmware vs topped out for SCAL2 If your cricut is new you may very well have a problem. Someone here may know how to get an older version of the firmware if you need it.

Sorry but that's the best I can do.

Good luck in getting it to work. You'll love it if you do.

terrible sorry abvout the CE and SCAL. Every time I'm at Joann's or Michael's I can help it but meddle when people are considering buying a CE. Sorry  I give them the site for scal and send them to look for the Silhouette, black cat, and other cutters. I should start getting paid lol. but seriously, i don't want people to be tricked into thinking they get a machine that can cut 12x12 really plus the wallet eating cartridges.

The newest Cricket machines won't work, unfortunately, even if you have owned the version 2 software for sometime now.
