Planning to do a tutorial add require some assistance

Post by Craigg64 »

HI

I have found this site http://www.screenr.comthat will allow you to capture what is happening on your screen and then publish to the internet without loading any capture software on your computer. I assume PC and Mac.
The captures can only be 5 minutes long though.

I am thinking of putting a tutorial together using it and I would like to know if everyone can view the videos without any issue. It does allow you to upload to youtube also so. If people have trouble I might have to publish to youtube also.

I would appreciate it if some of you could maybe watch the 1 minute tour video and my video, with audio, http://screenr.com/Peeand report if it all works or you have any issues.

Cheers and thanks in advance
Craig

I can see the video fine but if you're talking, I can't hear a thing. From what I saw, you did a great job.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to test it out for me. :)
Good to hear that it work for you all.

I am planning to recapture with audio this weekend. So fingers crossed

I would recommend to anyone else considering to put a tutorial together for SCAL2 to use screenr. It is so easy to use and it is Free.
Even if it is just to demonstrate a simple procedure or to offer assistance to someone in a post. It is so much easier showing someone how to do something than telling them.

Yep, I agree with Craigg. I paid 100.00 for the software to do my video's and since I give them away I'm behind the "curve" so to speak.

thanks Craigg I might try it it looks really easy and am waiting until I hear the audio. BTW what file format does the video save in? Will it run on YouTube.

Inquiring minds want to know, you know. Why should I try when i have YOU to test for me

We don't have the capability on this forum I guess for video uploads, correct? I thought I saw on some of the other forums that they are able to do it right there, or am I wrong...are they all links to youtube?

G, if you make a video you can post the link to it here. I haven't researched the file format for Craigg's video but if you can get a link to it you can post the link here just like Graigg did. Are you going to make one for us?

No, I was just wondering, because I thought I'd actually seen the video with the play button on some of the papercraft sites.
I would not know how to begin...don't have a video camera...I would be tooooo nervous :)
