Error message when trying to use SCAL??!??

Hi everyone! I had a computer crash and had to reinstall everything...when i tried to use CDS it would not work unless i update the firmware. So I did. Well, now I can't use SCAL. It gives me an error message. I went ahead and read some old post and installed the trial version on my cricut expression and it did not help. THen, I reset my cricut and still doesn't work. Any input or idea would be greatly appreciated!

what version of scal are you using
what machine do you have
