Bunny Print and Cut....my way

Post by papasue »

I played with the new version *2.041) today and had great success.

Here's how I do print/cut from an svg fle and a placed image.
* I printed on one piece of 8.5x11 in card stock, placed that on the mat edges of paper right on the dotted line edge cut lines on the mat.

I'm attaching the SCUT file and the .jpg background file to place for the body pieces.

To get the background just right click and download the file pinkscatter.jpg. I did try and use it as a pattern but I got grid lines showing, even in the print so went back to place/cut. I think because it is a "filter" in Inkscape or somesuch...I'll work on it.

The other color blocks are done with the shapes palette and colored as I wanted them.

I imported the svg file of the bunny first and "merged" like colors, they are all in one folder
Then I placed the decorative .jpg file and sized around the pieces and continued creating blocks of color for the eyes and nose pieces.

The bunny tail is while and it just cuts with all the rest so you only need turn of the one folder to print and then turn them off and turn on the one folder with all the pieces aligned within them.

I think the picture says this better.

Hope this is enough info for you to try it.
