I have traced a .jpeg image of a character that my daughter loves. It has come out well but I need to add a few lines. I used the draw a line tool but once you have drawn your line how do you leave the line in place? I can see two nodes and the line but moving the cursor extends the line, double clicking doesn't seem to set it so what do I do to simply leave the line where I placed it at the length I want it?
Thank-you! Birthday card to make LOL!
How do I draw a line and get it to stay in place?

I think you hit ESC when you are finished drawing your line.

Nope, mouse clicking doesn't work in SCAL, it just adds another node. Either escape or enter work though.
