Hi very new and have a question to ask do I still need to purchase cartridges with sure cuts a lot 2 please or can I design and cut without

You need one cartridge in your machine, but any cartridge will work. HTH

No need to buy any more cartridges! Just like Heather said, you only need ONE cartridge for SCAL to work.
