Please help...
I have an image that I am trying to eliminate the frame. I've played around with it all day in Inkscape and PaintNet but have had no luck. All I want is the dolphin, can anyone PLEASE help me before I pull my hair out? I would appreciate any help or advice.

Here is the file. I traced it in Inkscape with the default settings, then broke apart the image and deleted the frames. Selected all (Control A), Control K (Path/Combine), and then deleted all stray nodes. Then I simplified, both with Control L and manually.

THANK YOU so MUCH for helping out this Inkscape challenged crafter! It is for a friend who wants them on coasters and I had no clue as to how to do it. I will try your directions and see what I come up with. Again, thank you for your time and effort.
