Have you tried Ebay? I bought one for my friend in Australia and then sent it to her. Postage was expensive but at least she got what she needed.

I thought you just needed a USB cable for a printer? I already had DS when I found SCAL but I don't think Todd (not that Todd) has DS. You might PM him and ask him. I remember reading something about it a long while back. Hope this helps some Carol

I've looked on ebay but theres nothing coming up with cricut in the title, there are plenty of replacement universal adapters but I don't know whether I want to risk plugging that into my 'baby'

Its the actual power cable I need guys, not the usb, thanks though : )

It is the same as a USB cable. I took the one off my printer to test my Cricut when the adapter on the machine went bad. Then I tried the cable from the Cricut and the printer worked fine. If you have any office supply or computer stores near you you can get one there.

I don't think it's the usb adapter she wants I think it's the actual cord that plugs in from the cricut to the wall plug in....

Here in the State's we have Radio Shack's and they sale the "generic" adapter. You need a store that carries all those little electronic doodads like circuits (not Cricut) :), replacement parts for electronic equipment, etc... They should have your adapter. I don't know what the specs are on the adapter for the UK Cricut. I do have the USA Cricut specs if it helps.

The USA adapter is:

Switch Mode Power Supply

Model: KSH1800250T1M2
Input: 100-240V~50/60Hz 1.2A
Output: 18V 2.5A 45W

I just took a peek for you. You all do have Radio Shack's. Here's a link: http://www.radioshackuk.co.uk/
