Computer not comunicating to cricut
Computer not comunicating to cricut
I am totally new to this. Bought the cricut without any cartridges, which means no key overlay. The buttons don't work, I press the one that would be load paper if I had a key overlay and it doesn't work. The computer recognizes the machine and tells me there is no paper loaded. Is there a secret to this. Thanks .

You need at least one cartridge to get it working properly with SCAL .. I wonder if Todds setup of how to use this little cardboard and foil to make it think it has the George cartridge would work.. I'm off to work soon so hopefully someone will see this to point you in the direction..

Yes, you need to have a cartride in the machine before it will load the mat or cut.

Yes, the cardboard trick will work if you don't have a cart.

Yipeeee!!! I'm cutting my own creations! Cool. Hey Todd, what part of Michigan are you from? I grew up in Michigan. Ok now to figure out the SCAL program. Thanks to everyone for all the help.
