Dumb question from a newbie

Post by sachetm »

Uh, is there a user manual for download? I've perused the site and can't find one. I'm having trouble reading posts because the vocabulary is new (e.g., libraries, etc.) As an alternative, are the videos in some kind of order for learning how to use the software?

BTW, I'm delighted to see someone come out with an alternative (sort of) to Design Studio. I worked in the software business for long enough to know that "inelegant" is a compliment for Design Studio! (Almost by definition, "Sure Cuts A Lot" can't be worse. Seems Cricut took "low bid" to heart and was lax with their specs. And testing--gee, what's that?) ;)

I don't know about for download, but there is a user manual included under the help menu. You can get the trial version and play with it for 15 days. All cuts you make with the trial will have watermark slashes as well. If you go to youtube and search scal you'll find a lot of tutorial videos as well, just be sure you are looking at scal2 and not scal 1. Also of note, changes are made between scal2 versions and some things may be a bit different. If there are specific things you want to do, ask. There are a lot of helpful people here.
