Shapes in inkscape?

Can I make my picutres into shapes in inkscape? I have a certain picture that I need to be a circle...is this possible? TIA!

Yes, it's a little complicated though. Here are Youtube videos 1 & 2 that shows you how to take a 12x12 paper and cut a rectangle in it to put your picture in. Then you can position a shape inside the rectangle where you want the shape to cut, stick the picture in the rectangle, delete the rectangle and cut the pic. Hope this helps.

If you are meaning for printing or on screen all you do is import your picture, draw your shape, position it where you want it, select them both and then choose Object>Clip>set.
