Viewing SVG'S?
Re: Viewing SVG'S?
Inkscape has a viewer that comes with it. Go to the place where you installed Inkscape (usually c:\program files\inkscape) and double-click on Inkview.exe and that will "install" the viewer. You probably won't notice anything happen, but after that you can view SVGs in a folder in My Computer.

Re: Viewing SVG'S?
I have not been able to locate the viewer in inkscape????
I did download a viewer that begins with either an R or an N??..I know DUH..but I'm on morphine and other heavy pain meds for plate and screws, etc in my neck....anyway, it shuts down when I try to view the files in my documents AND it has changed the settings in my Internet explorer so small I almost can't use it...and I cannot change it back...I would delete it if I could figure out what i did....
Thanks and any help would be appreciated!!

Re: Viewing SVG'S?
Did you import an svg? It should appear on the Inkscape mat. The window sizing in Inkscape makes me nuts. It either starts out really small or super large. Then, there are times I am working on it and it wildly scrolls, then I search for the image/mat.
There is a sizing window at the lower right corner of the Inkscape screen. It is shown by percentages. I mess with that, but it still seems to have a mind of it's own.

Re: Viewing SVG'S?
I have Inkscape 46. I noticed after downloading other peoples svg's that they did not use the view, file document properties option. In Inkscape they work with there project off to the side/top/bottom to get away from the box that is in the middle of the mat. When they do that and save the svg it will not show up in the Inkscape viewer. I've spent hours going back and opening inkscape and
View then documents properties then I choose fit page to selection then resave. This will put your svg file in the Inkscape viewer where you can see it.

Eva,
You can view SVGs on a Mac using Quickview. In a finderwindow, click on an svg name, then click the eye icon to open the Quickview window. you might have to stretch it to see more of the SVG. As you click through the files in the folder with the arrow keys you can see each SVG in Quickview. I heard snow Leopard was going to have svg viewing built in but I haven't heard anything else about that.
