Is this possible???

Post by Boxrkisses »

Ok...I a extremely new!!! Like a few days ago I bought my Expression and SCAL. So sorry if this is completely elementary to some ;)

I am trying to duplicate this for my son's wedding. The whole reason I bought all of this was to work on wedding stuff. Can it be done and how would I start? Also trying to make an invite belly band with their names in script to go around the invite.

Here is the link to the planning site so that you can kind of see the style and ideas. ****Edit**** sorry forgot the link http://www.projectwedding.com/biography/list/FMIL
Thank you in advance SO MUCH for your help!

Hi Gina and welcome!
The top project with the detailed filigree work may be a tad too detailed for the Cricut in large quantities, but that really depends on how patient you are. Our resident Brazilian wonder-boy Paulo has created some wonderful files along these lines so you might want to browse his blog and see if you find something there that will work http://scale-files.blogspot.com/
The bands are easy. Just choose a font you like, set tracking until the letters overlap or ungroup them and move them individually if you need to, then put a narrow rectangle on the top and bottom and make sure the weld checkblock is selected on all 3 pieces.

Another Dallasite here. If you are unable to work it out, the folks on this board are a helpful bunch. Let us know what you have in mind (dimensions, fonts choices, etc) and I'm sure it can be worked out.

You all are awesome!!!!!!! I spent the day yesterday working on it...never mastered the names but did use a detailed heart shape instead. It turned out pretty nice. I will probably get caught up in the day again today working on it allllllll day ;) You ladies are GREAT!!! I will post a picture when I get it done!
