I must be getting old

Post by GrammyKrausse »

Hello: this is for AnointedHands
I must be getting old but for the life of me I can't seem to find out where to download the new version of Inkscape 0.46 that was released on the 24 or 25. The site tells me but when I save it and try to run it I get a message that tells me I already have the 0.45 and do I wish to uninstall it? I know you must have found it but somereason I can't.

Any help would be great for this old woman.

The Windows installer version for version 0.46 is not out yet. The version others have downloaded is the pre release version 3 and is not the stable version.
If you go to http://www.inkscape.org where it says download version 0.46 on the home page the actual version is still 0.45.1.
We'll just have to be patient a little longer.

I downloaded the version that I am using off their website but a MB member said that it was an unstable version. I am not sure what is meant by an unstable version. I am not having any problems with it but I did remove the link because I didn't want anyone else to get the unstable version in case there is a problem. I don't know what the deal is but I love working with the "unstable version."
There is a tool that allows you to fatten up skinny lines...I am working with stick people and I can give them fatter arms and legs.
