Inkscape & SCAL 2 - Help?
What do I have to do in inkscape to convert my existing files so that I can group and ungroup my paper piecings in SCAL 2...I have tried and can't do it. I tried saving as layers in Inkscape but it didn't work. What do I need to do differently? Thanks.

You need to move the pieces that you want to be able to ungroup/move into separate layers. I have a tut on this on my blog here.
