HELP!!! Help with layers
HELP!!! Help with layers
I said I'd never do this b/c it's such a pain but I'm trying it anyway. I've created layers for a dingbat using Inkscape. When I import them into SCAL they are not the right size so I size them according to the base of the image but now all my layers and base are in one SCAL file. How do I save them to their individual files so I can cut them separately without multiple tabs? Does this question make sense? Any ideas?

Re: HELP!!! Help with layers
Here is how I went around that.
With your Inkscape file open, create the image you want. Then "save as" yadayada base.svg.
Then create the layers as you normally would. But "save as" yadayada layer.svg
If you just click save again, it will copy over the first file, so you HAVE to use the "save as" function.
But.. then you would have two files.
Once you import the first one into SCAL, import the second one. If the sizes dont match up just move the layer over the base and adjust the size before cutting.
There might be an easier way, but this is how I got it to work.
I hope that made sense.
