Stopped working

My scal keeps hanging on starting connection. It worked fine an hour before and forever before that. I turned on machine and now it wont go any farther than that any ideas?

Could it be the image you are trying to cut. Is it a svg or scut? I'd check also to make sure you are connected in the usb tightly.

The image/images I have tried are svg...I have double checked ports also. I forgot to mention it works fine on my laptop
just not on the desktop all of the sudden..could there be a corupt file? if so how would I go about to fix this? anyone know?

Sure anything is possible that your file could get corrupt. Usually though it is one of several things that could go wrong. A svg that wasn't created correctly, like broken lines. stacked layers, some have even forgot to delete the original graphic when making the the svg and it is hidden ontop. Some mac users have had slow start up or not start at all. But if everything was working before and you have check the ports before I deleted something I would rally give a good look at the svg file in Question. I had the same thing happen a year and half ago and it was the svg I was trying to cut. Could you post the svg so we can look at it or open it in Inkscape and see what the svg tells you there.
Please don't get discouraged, It usualy is solved before deleeteing the SCAL program

Thank you all for your help it was a corrupt driver on this computer. Hubby came down and fixed for me
