I was playing around with inkscape this morning before work, as I am trying to make a poster for work and I need to cut a suitcase out with my cricut. I have read a lot about how to make svg files etc but I was trying to make the suitcase. I know I am missing a step and have to go through all the tutorials again as it's been a few weeks. I was hoping someone could help me with this.
I can attach what I have done to give you a general idea of what I was trying to do. I know I have done this all wrong. I just want one shape, not all the bits that I have grouped together. I thought if I could should you all a general idea, then someone could help me with this one. I don't want this to look like a briefcase, so I was trying to slightly round the edges instead of the square to make it look more real. I couldn't for the life of me figure this out.
If anyone out there could help, I would be so grateful, I hope I can attach this!
Thanks
Sarah

Re: Help with a file of a suitcase
I've rounded the corners for you and did path>union to make it one piece.
Hope this helps.
