I have a question

Post by splinks74 »

I have just had my cricut since saturday and I love it!!!! I have also bought SCAL and I have downloaded inkscape, plus I have design studio. Anyway, I am in Australia and to buy a cricut expression here it costs around $850. I was told that if I used SCAL it would void my warranty. As you can imagine, I wouldn't want to do that with the amount of money I have paid for the cricut. What I was wondering is, is there any way that SCAL can cause problems with the cricut? I SO want to use it but I'm a little scared to as I don't want anything to happen to my cricut! Also, if my cricut did have a problem, totally unrelated to SCAL, is there any way that PC can tell I have used SCAL on it?

I have been using SCAl with my cricut for months and have had no problems. I don't think that there is anyway that anyone would know whether you use SCAL or not and thus void the warranty. You install it on your computer not on your machine

I have 2 Expressions and use SCAL on my computer with them. I have had no trouble and was told the same thing when I bought my 2nd Expression from a miss informed dealer.

The only concern I have ever had is that some svgs we make may have many more nodes than commercially made files and theres more wear and tear on the cutting head when cutting these files over a long time?

Im sure someone else will comment. :-)
