Teabag folding
Have you been following Susan Bluerobots blog with all the teabag folding she's been doing? I checked out the price of the teabag fold stamps. Holy Mackerel! Pricey. So that got me to thinking, why not cut them out using SCAL? I got the size of the stamp which was 1 3/4x 2 7/8. Then in SCAL, I made 8 boxes 1 3/4"x 1 3/4" leaving plenty of room to add something on the top. (The actual part you fold is 1 3/4x 13/4) I chose Kokapelli's (not a great idea) I welded them to the box making them too high but Oh well, this was an experiment. They cut out beautifully. Using Susan's tut on how to fold, I folded all 8 of them and then stamped them with gold ink. I used paint to color the front part to make it more colorful and put them together in a circle, glueing where need be. Next time I will use something sturdier that the Kokapellis. You could also cut all your boxes 1 3/4x 2 7/8 and stamp your image on the top half of the card, cutting around the image and proceed to fold. I have attached the picture of how mine turned out, remember it is a rough draft.

Well nuts, it won't let me add the file. I need to make it smaller. I'll post it when I figure how to do that.

Lindamac, if you have photo editing software, it is usually in the image or transform menus. If you don't have a photo program, you can use Inkscape. Just open, import, or paste it into Ink, resize the photo/image to the size you want it, make sure it is selected, then export bitmap.lindamac wrote:with Vista I can't figure out how to make the pictue smaller.

Thanks Todd! I am also going to try Heather's idea. I had not thought to resize in Inkscape. I won't post the picture again tho.
