cutting designs

Post by Tam »

Ok somone help me out here. I imported a scallop circle and a plain circle. Then I typed n the words The Cake
I done what I thought was welded them together. Then I put it in my machine and started cutting. But it cut these lines first and then when it cut the letters they all fell apart along with my circle and scallop circle. Why is it cutting lines.
Thanks

That sounds like the watermark for the trial version. Do you have the full version?
Have you upgraded your firmware to a more recent version than the original? When I did that I had problems so I downgraded to the original firmware version. Wish I knew the version numbers to make this more clear but I don't.

I would say you need to make sure you are using a registered version of the software and not the trial version. Right now mine does the same thing because I haven't bought the full version yet - trying to raise a little cash on the side to do just that!! Watch out ebay, here I come!!

Also, for the cricut expression you need to be using firmware version 2.1 and for the baby bug version 1.1. (last I remember anyway).

isn't this what was happening to some people who upgraded their design studio? I think you have to roll back your version, do a search about that here, there was something like that.
