Im very new to SCAL and my cricut...Ive only had it a few weeks.

with this kind of file..when I open it up in SCAL can u seperate them? How do u get it to cut with all different colors\?

I forgot to say that the lion on the left is for reference. I cut this just the way it is, I just moved the one lion off to the left of the virtual mat. I cut a 3.75 inch lion on one 6x12 mat. If you want to separate the pieces you need to edit it in Inkscape.
