Judy, thanks very much.
Let me have a look at it tomorrow and see if I can convert them to svg files - I don't think it should be too difficult.

Re: Raewyn
Hi Judy, thanks so much again for the kind words.
I have created two .svg files - one of the house and one of the ornament but I don't want to post them here as they are copied from Cricut cartridges and so I don't want to breach copyright on them.
So if you PM me with your email address I will email them to you.
I am trying to add them to my blog but having some difficulties there just at the moment, but will update you when/if I get them linked there as well.
Regards
Raewyn

Judy
I have been able to post the .svg files on my blog now. They are in zip files so just click on the link on my blog then open then double click on the file in the winzip screen and that will open the .svg in Inkscape for you. If you like it then save it and then import into SCAL to cut.
Please let me know if any of the links don't work.
I haven't cut the files but I did import them into SCAL and they previewed fine so I am pretty confident they will cut fine for you.
Regards

Hi Judy
Thanks for your comments on my blog.
To answer your questeion about how to cut the different colours, import the svg into SCAL, size it to how big you want it them have a look at where each of the pieces are on the mat. The mat will be the same as your cricut cutting mat so just put the different coloured paper on your cutting mat to line up with what you are seeing on the screen.
For me the main piece of each design is black cardstock so I put a piece to cover where it is sitting on the "screen mat" then use the red, green and white cardstock for the pieces I want to cut in those colours.
Then put your mat in the cricut, select cut in SCAL and all will cut out in one hit for you.

You are so kind to take all this time with me...I did exactly what you said to do, last night after seeing someone doing this..maybe Dan or Susan ? somewhere I saw this...OK put it on my mat and know that scal can't cut portrait and so I redid the the position of the paper and I had it right the first time...it was to late to fool with it anymore...just now got to sit down to play today....by the way I worked in inkscape last night and devided the house but just didn't size it right and then tried the same mat different colors...
I feel guilty about using cricut's thing so broke down and just bought the boxes cartridge on sale off a link on your web page.on sale..thanks a million !!!!!!!!!!!!! Judy

Thank you from me, as well. You experts cannot possibly know how many people you are helping when you answer someone's question. I thought I would take a minute to say thanks!
