Writing with your Cricut....
So I was messing around with my Cricut today...I wanted to see if I could stick a pen in the machine where the blade housing goes so that I can "draw" or "Write" something instead of cutting something. I know that the Pazzles has that ability but the Cricut has an over hang where a full sized pen could go. I am aware that the Cricut sells little color type things but man they are expensive. So, I went to the store and I bought the MINI Sharpies and the MINI TUL markers. I measured them side by side and the TUL pens are shorter so I used them though I think the MINI sharpie would work fine as well....
Both the Sharpie and the TUL marker bodies are too thin for the blade holding area so I took some tape, wrapped it around the marker a few times, screwed the thingie back on, moved the Pressure down to "min", picked a design and voila! It worked beautifully. Again, I know that Cricut makes the markers but Sharpies are cheaper and come in a ton of colors! Just thought I'd pass it on.

GREAT IDEA. Since I got my E my poor baby has just been sitting on the floor, now she has a purpose, I'll use her for the text writing.
I'll let you know how I do!

Now where did I put those cute mini-sharpies that were in my Christmas stocking. Can't wait to try this. Also saw that M's nearest me has boxes of mini sharpies at the register for $1 each in lots of colors and 2 widths.
