Return point after cutting with Zing.

Post by lynnspain »

Hi there, I hope someone can me. I've just bought this software and finding my way around it.
I've done a quick cut (simple circle) to get a feel for it however, I'm stumped as to why the blade holder doesn't return to the home setting after the cut has finished. Is this just a normal thing with SCAL or are there settings I need to change?
Many thanks for any help

Yes… that’s how SCAL and a lot of other cutting programs handle “end of cut.” Personally, I like it because then you can start right from that point when doing a lot of repeated cuts. If, however, you need a new origin, then just click on Set origin and the head will return to the original home origin.
