Fonts not filling

Is anyone else having trouble getting their fonts to fill? It is filled in Office but not in SCAL. When I try to change that nothing happens. Any ideas?

Not having any problem with filling font with color or pattern. Is it on all fonts or just some?

Turns out I had the "show outlines only" box checked under the documents tab. Not sure how but that was the problem.
