Hi Everyone, I recently purchased a MK2-721 Plotter and I seem to be doing fairly well with the exception of 1 thing and I hope it's something simple in my settings.
For the first few cuts, everything was fine however here recently, my plotter will cut an image and then re-cuts the image before stopping. Is there something I have wrong in my settings or ??
Thanks in advance...

Is it possible that you have accidentally set it to cut twice? When you tell it to cut and the box opens check the multi-cut option to see that it is turned off. I can't imagine any other reason for that to happen.

Re: New and have a simple question...
Thanks for the help. I went ahead and tried to cut again and it is not set to cut twice. I actually let it complete the second cut to see if it would stop and reset as I usually cancel to stop and it continued, it cut the 3rd time and started to cut the forth and I canceled the cut at this point. Do you think I need to contact the manufacturer? I hope it's not anything I'm doing and let me explain why I say this.
I will create my image in Photoshop and save it as a ping. Next I will open and use the trace feature, I locate my image on the desktop and it traces/outlines my image. I allow this and it takes it to my cut screen where I orient it's size and cut it.
I went back in and imported a file I had saved weeks ago as an SVG, it brought it to my screen, I downsized it the size I wanted, set it to cut and it cut once... This makes no sense to me. I'm thinking next I may bring up my ping file in trace, let it outline/trace the image and then save the file as a SVG. Then import the SVG and try it. Any thoughts. I realize this is elementary to most of you but I'm still learning.
Thanks again

It sounds like the file is there several times on top of each other. Highlight and then hit "Object" and ungroup. If there are actually several images you can then delete the extras. Beyond that I would have to say this is a software issue not hardware since a different file worked fine.

Re: New and have a simple question...
Thanks again Jan for the help, but that didn't work. I went ahead this evening and created a new logo in photoshop. Saved it as a PNG. Brought it in via Trace on the Sure Cuts Alot Pro 3 software, took it to my grid, sized and positioned it and cut it. It cut 4 times before stopping.
Only thing I can think of is to contact their technical department at this point.
I do want to add before this started this evening, I completely uninstalled the software and reinstalled it just incase something was corrupted and I was unaware. Didn't make a difference.

I would also contact customer support at CE. If it is a software issue then they are the ones who can help.
