HELP PLZ! Scanned image not ACTUAL size when I import to ink

Post by bstreeter »

Help! When I scan an image and import it into inkskape, the image is not the actual size as the image I scanned.
Example: I scanned a stamped image that was approximately 3 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide, and when I import it into inkscape the image measures approx 5.5 inches tall and 3 inches wide.
Does anyone know how to make your image you scan import into inkscape at its ACTUAL size? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I don't do scanned images but you can make the image the size you need in the correct proportions by using the lock between W & H. Just click the lock and, for instance, you said the image is 3 inches wide once opened in INK, type in 1.5 (the correct width) in W and it should change to the correct height.
