Cricut wont cut

Post by prlywt »

I am using Scal 2. I have a cricut. When I am cutting a quote the centers of the letters are not being cut. What do I need to do so that the whole letter will cut.

Is your scut2 at version 2.044? That's the last version available before it was changed to scal3. If it's not at that version, you may want to update it. Please note: This is NOT your firmware version for your Cricut. You don't want to change that to any higher than 2.35. Just the software version of scal2.
Let us know if that doesn't work.

I don't think that the problem is with your program version, though if you have a valid serial number I would update to the last released version anyway. I would contact Craft Edge for help since you're having problems with this.

It sounds like your problem is most likely that you used Object/Break apart and then Weld on the text. When you use Weld, anything that is inside of another shape won't cut. A better option for text is to use Object/Ungroup. This will separate the letters from each other without separating the centers from the letters. HTH
