Space

Post by JamWest1007 »

Hi All! I am new to SCAL3, and I am generally loving it! :D I am struggling to find a way to efficiently "space" my objects. This is something I do often in PSCS4 & SSDE, but can't seem to find/figure it out in SCAL3. Is there a way to do this without having to use the x and y coordinates? If not, any suggestions on how to make the process as painless as possible? TIA

You can use View and Snap to Grid might help, and you can move things up and down and side to side with the arrow keys on the keyboard. That is all I can think of right now.

To make sure I get multiple items spaced at equal distances, I often put up a rectangle, zoom in and size it to fit the first space, and then move it along to space each additional space. I put a very long rectangle up at the top of the area, and move each item up so that each one just touches. Very un-scientific, but I really like to make things as exact as possible, and this works for me.
I use a BabyBug, SCAL2.

Thanks for the suggestions. Definitely some new things to try. :-) And maybe in time, "space" or "distribute" will be an option in SCAL. Hint. Hint. LOL
