scal with cricut expression

Hi Everyone, I have a cricut expression and scal 2 and everything works fine but my friend was wondering if she buys a brand new cricut expression will it still work with scal 2 or have they done anything to the new cricut expression machines to stop them working with scal,I do know that cricut doesn't work with scal 3 and I dont think you can buy mtc that works with cricut now so is there any other programme that will work with cricut or are you now only able to use cartridges with the new cricut machines? thanks, Stella x

The new expression does not work with SCAL 2 nor is there any other third party software that will work. If she is interested in a new machine, either the Sizzix eClips or the Silhouette Cameo will be a better deal and not dependent on cartridges. Price is comparable to what you would pay for the Expression.

The relationship between CE and eClips is more solid and uses the eCal software.
