Re: Newbie few questions please help me getting discouraged

As a newbie as well, maybe 30 days with SCAL2 running, I also suggest you add folders as has been suggested. It is easy to get overwhelmed, if you're like me and started out with an arsenal of ideas of things I wanted to accomplish yesterday . And of course, I got SCAL2, Inkscape and my Cricut all o...

Re: Vinyl Order

Just keep thinking of that laptop you'll be paying off! At least that's what I tell myself when I make mistakes with projects, I won't do this again and it's still making money.

Re: polka dot font?

Here's my finished product. I forgot to change the settings on the cutter so it cut through the transfer paper in some areas which made some icky areas in the outlining. Next time I'll make the polka dots a little bigger and not smoosh the letters quite so much. I put it on a hoodie using Spectra Cu...

Re: eCraft Personal Cutting Systems by Craftwell

Does look cool, but my next one will be a bigger one like the Roland GX-24 unless this one does a whole lot more. I'll need wider span before I need longer span.

Re: polka dot font?

Thanks so much Heather! I did get it to work and used heat transfer vinyl to make a shirt for my daughter from it. I'll post the file later in case anyone else's kids have Eagles as their mascot. Came out really cute and I learned something new about what I can do with Inkscape!

Re: polka dot font?

Thanks Heather! I so appreciate the time you take to help us new to this obsession! I will play around with the outlining today. I think I figured out how to add the polka dots last night. But can you also direct me to the way they have used half dots on some of the letters? Will that just happen wi...

Re: polka dot font?

Cute! Cheri font is one of my favorites and my daughter's favorite for quick sayings on shirts. Is there a tutorial that would help me put the outlining around the lettering? My font doesn't come with the outlining and using shadow would put color behind the polka dots where I woudn't want color add...

Re: Decal making question

Thanks so much, the local sign shop gave me a sample of the clear tape and I like the way that looks better for sale. The clear contact would work also. It makes a big difference in the way it lays.
