Craft Edge

I found this dingbat image and am clueless how to clean it up. I just want basic bold lines in order to vinyl. I have tried "tracing" it but it was a mess. I would appreciate any help. Thanks so much!

THANK YOU so MUCH for helping out this Inkscape challenged crafter! It is for a friend who wants them on coasters and I had no clue as to how to do it. I will try your directions and see what I come up with. Again, thank you for your time and effort.

I have an image that I am trying to eliminate the frame. I've played around with it all day in Inkscape and PaintNet but have had no luck. All I want is the dolphin, can anyone PLEASE help me before I pull my hair out? I would appreciate any help or advice.

I am trying to get a clean image of these logos. After I put it in Inkscape, the letters are all distorted. Can anyone please help or point me in the direction of how to correct this problem? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I found this cute picture of this dog that I would like to etch on a glass jar for treats for my cousin's dog. I moved it into Inkscape but the lines were light and I am Inkscape challenged. Could someone please help me make this "etchable"? I would appreciate any help! Thanks!
