If you are etching from the underside of the dish, then I would think you should flip the image? I am brand-new to this, but I've been messing around with etching. If you are etching from inside the dish, then you shouldn't have to do anything. I bet it'll come out really nice.

Thanks for the replies. Converting any color image just didnt quite come out right. I ended up drawing the hands myself and scanning it. I cut it into vinyl and I like the way it came out. Where the red vinyl is is where the etching will be, so it will be very subtle. (not sure how to upload the pic...
