Craft Edge

When I try to use my 6 x 12 mat in my Cricut Expresssion, it doesn't feed in correctly. I can select the mat size in SCAL 2, but it does not appear on the machine. Is there something else I need to do in SCAL to get it to feed in correctly?

Butterfly, the video was great!! Did you make this yourself? My problem is that the "flourish" is very thin and I'm afraid it won't cut right so the stencil looks nice. I'm attaching another choice I'd like to use, if it's possibe to cut the stencil out about 1.5" wide and 1" high.
