netbook laptop?

Could anyone tell me if the new netbooks would handle scal and inkscape and run a cricut? they just seem a little more of a conveniant size(a ipod app would be great and 2nd best would be netbook and last resort a laptop). thanks for the info.

I got the Acer Inspire One for Christmas and I have no problems running SCAL or the Cricut. Scrappingtable.com has a video about using netbooks with SCAL and the Cricut.

I got a Dell Netbook for Christmas. I really like the portability. Scal2 runs fine. The only thing is the small screen size you have to move the cursor around alot to see what you are doing. I did have a problem with DS. I could not load it onto the netbook because of the screen resolution. I tried all of the suggestions from the different message boards like attaching my desktop monitor to the netbook. I still was unable to change the screen resolution to allow the download. My fix was to load from my desktop onto a usb drive. It runs fine on the netbook but will not load onto the netbook. I just open it from the usb drive.
