Happy Thanksgiving

Post by jasenj1 »

Here's a "Happy Thanksgiving" I whipped up for my wife. It uses the Harrington font. It cuts slowly because there are so many nodes. The words are pretty delicate and I had trouble pulling them out of the cut paper. I'm not sure if there is a setting I can change to make it pop out cleaner, or if that's just the nature of the beast with such a delicate cutting with sharp angles.

Jasen, you can reduce the number of nodes by using path>simplify. But before you do that, you should read this post http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewtopi ... ify#p19364 that tells you how to change the simplify threshold in ink to keep your image from getting distorted when using the simplify action in ink. Believe me, you'll be glad that you did! ;) Very nice file BTW, thanks for sharing!! :D

Thanks. That's the tip I needed. 0.0005 still distorted things more than I liked, so I went to 0.0001 - the smallest possible. It still cleaned up a bunch of nodes. I replaced the upload with a new version.
