Instead of a celebration, how about a SCAL-ebration?
Is anybody interested in meeting any of the members here in person? I think it would be great if a couple of people could plan and organize a get together where we could show off some of our talents and projects with each other. I would think that the host city should have a few scrapbooking or craft stores for excursions etc. I also think that multiple SCAL-ebrations around the country would have to be planned, for driving convenience. I don't think SCAL-ebrations would be a fly to event. In todays economy, I bet some Hotels would be willing to bargain on the cost of a meeting room if there was enough rooms reserved. I would help plan a SCAL-ebration here in the Midwest. I have a projector that you hook up to a computer so we could use that for the demonstrations.
How about it? Is anybody interested? These things take months to plan, so I think if we started planning now for Spring we could make this work.

I would love it as well. Way too much talent here to pass up the chance. I guess it will depend on where it is. Maybe we could have someone do some webinars for us.

Ohio would work. According to this website, there are lots of stores.

I think I saw three listings for Dayton. Does anybody know anything about Dayton?

Or the Bowling Green/Toledo area. Lots in BG and if necessary Toledo isn't that far away.
