Cutting so slooooooooow . . . :(

i'm stumped. i'm trying to cut a flower - very basic (attached).

it cuts so slow. settings on my baby bug are 3, 4, 3 - does SCAL override those? reason i ask is because i cut a flower from my walk in my garden cartridge (same fabric and settings) and it just zips right through.

is something wrong with my SVG file?

most likely it is because there is 1085 nodes. That's lot's of them

I took a look at the svg file and it has a ton of nodes.

the more nodes the longer it takes to cut.

You can go into inkscape and delete them... if you need help, check out http://susanbluerobot.blogspot.com/2008 ... inish.html on how to manipulate the file

so by simplifying, i got it down to 31 nodes?

I usually just delete the extra nodes in Inkscape, I have control over the shape that way. To tell how many nodes your project has. In Inkscape select your project with your curser and down in the middle bottom it will tell you how many nodes are there.

yep, i just cut it again and it worked! guess now i'll have to slow the speed down 'cause it went really fast!
