Re: scal5 and vinyl express R series 2
Are you sure your SCAL5 is registered? The extra cut lines through your project usually means the software is still in trial mode.
In the "About Sure Cuts A Lot" window (under Help on a PC; under Sure Cuts A Lot 5 on a Mac), it should say Licensed to, at the bottom of the popup window, and then your name and your registration number.

Re: scal5 and vinyl express R series 2
I'm happy to test cut your file if you want me to see if I get the same thing. However, it sounds like a "random cutting issue" which is exactly that... random. That means it can be very hard to diagnose. If you're connected to your cutter via USB, you can try a different USB cable as sometimes that can be the issue... either due to poor quality or a customer has bought an excessively long one for convenience. It can be a computer-specific issue... in other words, for some reason, if you test from a different computer, the issue goes away. It can be something in the file itself, which you can test by (1) copy/pasting the design into a new project file and see if that fixes it or (2) recreating the original. I guess I should have asked if this was an import or you designed it yourself in SCAL.
Anyhow, if you want me to test it, then email it to me at smccauley45@cox.net and mention you are stoney59 from the SCAL forum. I also help at other forums and FB groups, so sometimes I forget where I offered to help someone.
