Etching question

Have any of you ever tried to etch a 13 x 9 glass dish. I have tried it and let it stay for an hour and when it was done, I couldnt even tell that anything had happened. It must be the glass I am using. Was wondering where you get your dishes from that work well.

I use an air etcher so can't help with the etching cream, but I will say there are several Facebook groups for etching. If you don't get a response here, you might want to try one of those groups for support.

I like my air eraser and got it at harbor freight. MY DH has a good air compressor where I can adjust the pressure and it had a reservoir to contain the moisture buildup. You want to research before getting everything. The cream works fine too. If you looked at the link, many tell you to clean the glass with rubbing alcohol or vinegar first to get any residue/film/oil from hands off of the glass. You may need to leave it on longer too. Both of those issues may be the problem.

We have a Beadblaster here at work which I use. I just made 4 glasses for Christmas presents. If you really need to get this project finished, you could try calling around to some of the Tool and Die shops in your area and see if they have a Beadblaster or Sandblaster cabinet. I use about 40 PSI for glass.

I will have to try my husbands sand blasting cabinet. Never thought about it.

What a sculpture!!! Do you make anything more with wood chips? Just want to see more and more sculpture with wood residuals.
